Clutha Youth Worker
Do you want to make a positive difference for young people in our District?
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Youth Worker to deliver youth development services for young people aged 12–24 across the District.
This is a part time, fixed term role till the 30 June 2027.
In this role, you will work directly with young people to support their wellbeing, encourage leadership and participation. You will play a key role in building a connected, inclusive and resilient community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering youth development programmes and initiatives that support wellbeing and personal growth
- Building positive relationships with young people, whānau, community groups and partner agencies
- Supporting young people to access opportunities that enhance their future outcomes
About you:
- Experience working with young people aged 12–24, ideally in a youth development or community setting
- A strong understanding of youth wellbeing, engagement and participation
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work independently in the community
- A commitment to creating positive outcomes for young people
