Maintenance Electrician

Te Tūranga / About the Role:

Based in Balclutha, this is a great opportunity for a hands-on tradesperson to play a key role in keeping our plant operating safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for the electrical repair, maintenance, and improvement of equipment across our diverse site—ensuring production downtime is minimised and plant reliability is maximised. With a wide variety of equipment and facilities, no two days will be the same, and you’ll have the opportunity to broaden your skills and experience in a supportive team environment.

Our engineering team works on a 4/4 roster: four 12-hour days, four days off, four 12-hour nights, then four days off. This balance allows time for both proactive maintenance and troubleshooting while also giving you regular stretches of time off.

Ōu Pūkenga / About You:

We’re looking for an experienced electrician who can think on their feet, troubleshoot effectively, and work well as part of a tight-knit team. Food process or industrial experience would be ideal, but above all, you’ll have the right trade skills, a proactive approach, and the drive to get the job done.

Skills and attributes we value:

• Current New Zealand EWRB Electrical Practicing License (essential)
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial plant maintenance (FMCG experience an advantage)
• Ability to diagnose and repair faults quickly and safely
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team
• Well organised, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
