KITCHEN HAND

Part-Time

The Telford campus of Southland Institute of Technology situated 6 km south of Balclutha, has a vacancy for a Kitchen Hand to complement the existing team in providing meals for students accommodated on location.

This position is 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday) and reporting directly to the Kitchen Supervisor. Duties will include the cleaning and sanitising of food preparation stations, serving areas, equipment, dining room and some minor food preparation.

We are looking for a person who is punctual, reliable, flexible and able to communicate positively with both staff and students alike. Preference will be given to applicants who have previous skills working in a catering operation, some background in quantity cooking would also be seen as beneficial.
