If you have got an engineering qualification at a Diploma level and at least three - four years’ experience with a District or Regional Council or equivalent, our Development Engineer role could be the job for you.

What you will do:

• Assess and review development proposals for analysing engineering plans, reports and technical designs
• Provide engineering guidance and technical advice for developers, consultants, internal teams and stakeholders
• Manage and coordinate development-related infrastructure works for new sub-divisions and developments
• Ensure documentation, approvals, and compliance are completed so that all work aligns with regulatory, environmental and quality requirements

What We’re Looking For

• New Zealand Diploma (level 6) in Engineering or equivalent qualification 
• 3-4 years experience in a similar role
• Understanding of the principles of the Resource Management Act
