Sales Representative

About the role

This is an exciting full-time opportunity to join the sales team at South Otago Windows & Doors, a leading provider of high-quality windows and doors in the Milton, Otago region. As a Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in driving the company's growth by engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions that exceed their expectations.

What you'll be doing

1. Actively prospecting and generating new leads through effective networking, referrals, and builders visits.
2. Meeting with potential customers to understand their requirements and provide personalized product recommendations.
3. Preparing detailed, accurate quotations and proposals that highlight the unique features and benefits of our products.
4. Closing sales and ensuring a smooth customer experience through project management from initial inquiry to final installation.
5. Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and generating repeat business through excellent service and follow-up.
6. Collaborating with the wider team to share market insights, identify potential opportunities, and contribute to the overall sales strategy.

What we're looking for

1. Proven sales experience, preferably in the windows and doors industry or a related construction field.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
3. Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions.
4. A driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach to sales.
5. Familiarity with working on a computer and complicated computer programs. Working on V6 would be a benefit.
6. A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel within the Otago region.
