Regulatory Group Manager

Are you an experienced leader ready to shape the future of regulatory and building services?

As our Regulatory Group Manager, you’ll report directly to the Chief Executive and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering services that enrich the lives of our community.

In this role, you will:

• Play a pivotal leadership role in delivering regulatory and building services while ensuring full compliance with all legislative requirements.
• Lead beyond your portfolio, contributing to organisation-wide outcomes
• Be a member of the senior leadership team who provide strategic leadership, champion Council’s vision, uphold statutory responsibilities, contribute to organisation-wide outcomes, and model a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Do you have:

• Leadership experience at a third-tier level including leading staff?
• At least 10 years relevant experience in a relevant field?
• Experience in the Local Government environment within the Regulatory environment?

What we’re looking for:

• Proven leadership experience in regulatory, building, compliance, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, statutory obligations, and best-practice processes.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across teams, stakeholders, and the community.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to influence, lead change, and drive high performance.
• Commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and customer-focused services.
