General Engineer

WAE Engineering Limited is a respected privately owned business which works across a number of Engineering and Mechanical fields.  Due to growth in our business, we are looking for a self-motivated General Engineer who will form part of our engineering team. Based from our Balclutha branch.

Responsibilities:

• To undertake specific fitting work as instructed by the Company in an accurate and timely manner to meet company standards.
• Perform, setup and clean-up tasks both on and off site.
• Fitting and assembling components to machines and equipment
• Forming machine components within tolerance requirements
• Fault Finding, mechanical repairs & servicing of pumps and equipment.
• Carry out plant preventative maintenance at client shutdowns.
• Produce high quality work with good attention to detail.
• Fabrication & Welding of various disciplines.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven work experience as a General Engineer or similar
• Competent in following drawings
• Trade Qualified Fitter/Turner or Fitter/Welder or Fabricator/Welders welcome to apply
• Mechanical Aptitude with hands on experience.
• Experience in Maintenance fitting
• Sound knowledge of, and ability to adhere to, Health and Safety regulations and policies.

Other Requirements:

• NZ Residency or a valid NZ work visa.
• Unrestricted drivers licence.
• Honest and Reliable to present good company image.
