Farm Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a farm manager position for a high performing sheep and beef operation located in South Otago only 10 km from Balclutha on State Highway 1.

The property consists of 1,396 ha and carries around 15,500 su. It has a permanent staff of 3, apart from the Farm Manager.

The property is farmed intensively with a desire to promote modern farm production and management systems.

The successful applicant will need to:

• Have proven experience in livestock & pasture management on a large and intensively farmed property
• Have sound planning skills
• Have good communication and leadership skills and be able to motivate staff
• Be progressive and innovative
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Have a strong sense of farm pride

The successful applicant will report directly to the Chair of the Board.
