Farm Manager

An exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated farm manager is available for the 2025/26 season commencing approx. 20th August 2025. The property milks approx. 600 cows with equity owners off farm meaning a high degree of autonomy for the successful applicant with support as needed from the farm Overseer and Consultant. 

The cow shed is a well-appointed 40 bale herringbone with in-shed feeding, and the farm has a high standard of machinery and its own cultivation equipment. The position is varied with tractor work also available and a quality team in place to support your success. 

There is a staff friendly roster in place and a good four-bedroom house available. 

You must be eligible to work in NZ and hold a Full drivers licence.

This is a well-developed farm with a quality herd supporting consistent production. There is scope to improve on farm performance further and the successful applicant will be someone driven to do so. We are seeking an enthusiastic operator with passion and integrity to continue moving the business forward, being highly skilled with pasture management and cow feeding and demonstrating attention to detail that can utilise the infrastructure on farm to its full potential. 

You must be a NZ based applicant with a Full NZ drivers licence and NZ residency. 

We seek applicants with a proven track record of Farm management or an experienced 2IC that can demonstrate they possess the skills to undertake the role. Being:

1. Excellent Pasture management and feeding skills.
2. Ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve farm targets. 
3. Animal Husbandry and reproduction skills
4. Environmental management including effluent and fertiliser applications.
5. Effective and timely record keeping and reporting.
6. Property maintenance.
