Sarah

Sarah Homer

Destination Development Manager

Sarah is our dedicated Destination Development Manager for the Clutha District. Sarah plays a crucial role in fostering partnerships with key organizations, managing community projects, and enhancing the region's appeal. She focuses on developing new tourism products in collaboration with local businesses and stakeholders. With a practical approach, Sarah oversees marketing strategies and campaigns, ensuring they resonate with residents, businesses, and visitors alike. Additionally, she represents CluthaNZ at various events such as trade shows, industry events, and famils.

Beyond her professional role, Sarah is deeply rooted in the Lawrence and Waitahuna communities. Serving as the treasurer for Simpson Park Sports Complex and also an integral part of the Waitahuna School Board of Trustees. Additionally, she holds a position on the Board of Proprietors at St Hilda's Collegiate. Sarah brings a wealth of expertise to these roles, complemented by her Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lincoln University, where she majored in Hotel and Institutional Management. Her commitment to community and education further enriches her holistic approach to destination development.

Simon Davies – Chairperson
Simon and his wife Joanna farm a 10,000su sheep and beef property at Toko Mouth. They’ve farmed in Clutha for 13 years and have been involved with Clutha Development Inc. since its inception.
Simon holds a BTech from Massey and spent 12 years in the global seafood processing industry before returning to manage his family’s Taranaki farm.
He brings strong communication skills, multi-industry experience, and a passion for regional development.


Hamish Anderson
Hamish is a dairy farmer, Clutha District Councillor (15 years, including 9 as Deputy Mayor), and our water quality project manager.
His governance experience includes roles with LIC (South Island board & National Council Chair), ORC drainage group, RMA hearings panels, Telford Dairy advisory committee, Otago Land Transport committee, Clutha Health First, and the District Development Board.


Noelene Scott
Noelene manages the Cross Recreation Centre, leading a team of five to ensure an efficient and welcoming facility.
She previously spent six years with Netball NZ delivering the CoachForce programme across Otago–Southland.
A dedicated netball coach and administrator, Noelene has coached age-group teams at both local and provincial levels and served on the South Otago Netball Centre committee.


Josh Hurring
Josh grew up near Balclutha and holds a Commerce degree from the University of Otago. He works at Mike Hurring Logging, managing operations and training via machine simulators.
Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, rugby (Clinton Rugby Club), and motocross, in which he competed nationally.


Bronwyn Campbell
Bronwyn lives on a Clinton sheep and beef farm with her husband and three children. She holds a BCom in Management & Accounting from Otago University and works in finance and contracts at Clutha Health First.
She’s deeply involved in community groups, currently serving on the SOHS Board of Trustees and having previously chaired several local committees.
Bronwyn brings strong governance experience and a commitment to Clutha’s rural community and growth.


Anna Benny
Originally from London, Anna moved to Clutha six years ago and now lives on a Clydevale dairy farm with her husband and son.
She’s active in the Kaka Point Surf Lifesaving Club and Clutha Valley Pool Development Committee.
A Kellogg Rural Leadership graduate, Anna is also part of the Silver Fern Farms ‘To The Core’ governance programme.
She works as an independent contractor across agriculture, local government, and food tech, offering strong communication skills and insight into regional issues.
