Meat on the Move - Volunteers Wanted
Meat on the Move is looking for volunteers to help process donated venison and other live stock that is then minced and distributed to people in need and local food hubs throughout our community.
We're seeking reliable volunteers who are comfortable working around raw meat and are willing to assist with tasks such as:
🔹 Trimming and preparing meat
🔹 Using knives safely
🔹 Assisting with meat mincing
🔹 Cleaning and sanitising equipment
🔹 General processing and packing duties
No previous experience is necessary, but you must be willing to learn and follow food safety and health & safety procedures. Training and guidance will be provided.
We also welcome volunteers who may be interested in helping with the collection of donated animals from time to time.
By volunteering, you'll be helping turn donated game meat into nutritious meals for families and individuals who need it most.
