Construct South is a locally owned building company based in Balclutha, delivering residential, commercial, and rural construction projects across the Clutha District and wider Otago/Southland region. Co-owned by Clem and Natasha Munro, they are committed to developing local tradespeople through strong apprenticeship, Gateway, and training partnerships. Construct South offers hands-on entry-level opportunities and clear pathways into long-term careers in carpentry and construction.
Construct South is a locally owned and operated building company based in Balclutha, delivering residential, commercial, rural, and bespoke construction projects across the Clutha District and the wider Otago/Southland region. We take pride in our quality craftsmanship, practical problem-solving, and strong team culture. With decades of combined experience from our qualified builders and having supported dozens of apprentices through their training, Construct South offers exposure to all corners of the construction industry, from farm infrastructure and renovations to government projects, architectural homes, sheds, and commercial fit-outs.
Co-owned by Clem and Natasha Munro, Construct South is committed to developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople in the Clutha District. Through partnerships with local high schools, Gateway and Ready to Work programmes, BCITO, and Otago Polytechnic, we provide genuine, supported pathways into carpentry and construction careers.
What we do

Deliver high-quality residential, commercial, rural, and bespoke construction projects
