Applicants should have the following:

  • Experience in Psychogeriatric or behavioural management skills required
  • Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Provide high level clinical leadership and support to clinical and care staff.
  • Able to support and provide direction to RN's on the floor
  • InterRai trained
  • Experience and knowledge working in aged care in hospital and rest home settings required
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of quality improvement systems and auditing and compliance
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Knowledge of aged care education needs and requirements for clinical staff
  • Ability to deliver education
  • Will support CSM and CHM to ensure all clinical practices are adhered to
  • Shifts may include AM, PM, Nights and Weekend work.
  • Will be required to be Oncall on an adhoc basis
  • Eligibility to work in NZ
  • First Aid certificate would be preferred
