BRIDGES CLOSED NORTH OF MILTON

Two cycle trail bridges next to the Waihola Highway (SH1), between Milton and Circle Hill Road are temporarily closed as construction is completed. Riding this section of the trail is not recommended as cyclists will need to dismount and walk their bikes along the highway for a short distance before rejoining the trail. This section of trail is currently not suitable for children.
MILTON - CIRCLE HILL ROAD IS NOT RECOMMENDED AT THIS TIME.

The recently unveiled 62km extension between Lawrence and Waihola, inaugurated on August 25th, 2023, connects the existing network of trails in Central Otago and Clutha with a cycle path heading towards the East Coast.
From whichever end you chose to start, this trail offers a real rural heartland experience combined with a wealth of history.
