Andrew Haulage 2011 Ltd is a medium sized civil construction company which recognises constant change in the sector. Colin Calteaux, who managed the business for 10 years, purchased Andrew Haulage alongside his wife Lynne in 2011.

Andrew Haulage’s main office and workshop is based in Balclutha, South Otago, the company has been operating for over 60 years in the lower South Island gaining considerable knowledge of the local environment and its conditions.

Andrew Haulage offers a wide range of services including:

• Civil contracting – roading, bridge upgrades, drainage, and subdivision development

• Earth-moving – excavation, farm infrastructure, forestry roading

• Quarrying – operating its own quarries and aggregate yards

• Concrete services – supply and placement through Clutha Concrete

• Forestry and biofuel – woodchip production and sustainable bioenergy through Southern Chipping Services Ltd

• Southern Chipping Services Ltd – Supplies high-quality wood bioenergy chips to support renewable energy and primary industries. SCS partners with major forest owners (Rayonier, Wenita, City Forests, Earnslaw 1) and leads with a sustainability focus, ISO14001 certification, and eco-friendly practices.

• Quarry and Yard Sites – The company operates its own quarries, providing high-quality aggregate materials throughout the region.
