Farm Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated farm assistant is available for the 2025/26 season commencing 10^th July 2025. The property milks 530 cows with a support block nearby running youngstock and wintering around 200 head plus off farm grazing utilised for the remainder.

The cow shed is a well appointed 40 bale rotary and the farm has a high standard of machinery and its own baling and cultivation equipment. The position can be varied with tractor and youngstock work also available to the right applicant. 

Please note this is a travel in position with property Located approx. 10 minutes from Balclutha and no accommodation is currently available.

There is a staff friendly roster of four days off per fortnight that includes every second weekend and a regular weekday (usually a Friday or Monday).

You must be a NZ based applicant with a Full NZ drivers licence and NZ residency.

Ideally you will have two years’ experience on New Zealand dairy farms, but this is flexible for an applicant with the right attitude that can be trained.
