Dryer Flexi Operator

Danone Nutricia NZ is looking for a dedicated Dryer Flexi Operator to join our dynamic production team at our Dairy Factory in Balclutha.

As a Dryer Flexi Operator, you will play a crucial part in maintaining safety and quality standards during the production of products. You will also be required to uphold the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness, with occasional involvement in cleaning operations.

As a Dryer Flexi Operator, your primary focus will be on supporting the processing of raw milk into infant formula, contributing significantly to the delivery of high-quality products to consumers consistently.

You will be a key member of our Production team involved in the commitment to achieving business goals through attentiveness, adherence to procedures, and effective teamwork.

This vacancy is a permanent full-time job, working in a rotating shift roster of 12-hour shifts, 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off. Minimum guaranteed hours per week 42.

As a Dryer Flexi Operator, you will be responsible for starting and running the dryer to meet Danone requirements. This includes monitoring and controlling dryer parameters according to the run sheet, conducting sampling and testing of powder functional properties, and adjusting dryer parameters to ensure the powder meets specifications.

Your problem-solving skills will be utilized in day-to-day procedures, and you will be responsible for issuing and receiving permits to work. Maintaining a high level of hygiene in the factory is crucial, and areas of accountability include meeting powder production targets, ensuring proper manufacturing of products, and overseeing safe work practices.

About You

To be successful you will have:

Proven Experience: Successfully operated food industry production lines, with a focus on spray-drying processes.
Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in monitoring and controlling Batching and Milk Separation Equipment.
Digital Skills: Proficient in SAP and other digital manufacturing systems.
Compliance Knowledge: Well-versed in Good Manufacturing Practices, emphasizing Health & Safety and Quality standards.
Hygiene and Cleaning: Understanding of food manufacturing plant hygiene and cleaning requirements in a High Care environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, adaptable to shift work, and a dedicated team player.
Record Keeping: Maintains accurate record-keeping through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
Educational Background: Holds a preferred NZQA Level 3 qualification.
Can-Do Attitude: Approach tasks with a positive and proactive mindset, displaying a willingness to take ownership from start to finish.
Adaptability: Openness and ability to adapt positively to new processes, systems, or other changes.
Team Builder: Possess the ability to engage and motivate team members for collaborative success.
Integrity: Demonstrate high ethical standards and a commitment to doing the right thing.
