Big River Raft Race is a fun-filled day out on our amazing Clutha River, organised by Project Clutha.
Make a home-constructed raft to float and paddle your team of 4 or more people down the river, in order to raise funds for local charities (Kaka Point Surf Life Saving Club and Catlins and Clutha District LandSAR) whose volunteers contribute a lot to our community. There are prizes to be won and the race finish line at Balclutha Bridge is quite a spectacle!
In 2020 the Big River Raft Race Festival will have food and craft market stalls on the riverbank, live music and kids activities! Come along to cheer on the race teams, support local community groups and enjoy our beautiful river.
Follow Big River Raft Race on Facebook and download the My Little Local Clutha app for the latest information and to get entry forms for the race.
