As farmers we need to take ownership and be proactive in our water quality management in order to ensure a clean, green environment for future generations to live, work and play.

Through these individual water care groups, we can work alongside and support one another in the promotion of sustainable management practices.

Regular meetings of farmer-led catchments, and through the development of their own management plans, we can find local solutions to local issues that are unique to each group.

Goals of Catchment Groups

  • To establish sub catchment groups
  • Farmers encouraging farmers
  • Share and encourage best practice by all
  • Communicate simple messages
  • Improve water quality across all tributaries
  • Regulation changes that allow activities that help improve water quality.
  • Measure and celebrate progress
  • Tell our story
  • Community recognition of efforts made
