Vision

To engage our Communities to protect and enhance water quality now and for future generations

Who We Are

The Clutha Community Trust set up a network of 8 river catchment groups in the Clutha District to monitor and improve water discharge from farms in our area.

The main reason for the development of these groups was the Otago Regional Council water plan and the affects on farmers and their farming systems.

Catchment groups are now encouraged to be farmer-led with the overall goal of improved water quality through the exchange of information as well as continued education.

The Catchment Groups

Waiwera-Kaihiku, Owaka, Tuapeka-Waitahuna, Lower Clutha, Lake Tuakitoto and Tokomariro
