Team Leader Electricians
Te Tūranga/About the Role
Our Finegand site is based in Balclutha and is the largest site in the Silver Fern Farms network. Due to a retirement, we are looking for a people orientated communicator to take on the role of Electrical Team Leader.
The Electrical Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring the day to day running of all the electrical systems on site, predominantly focusing on responding to reactive maintenance and breakdowns. They will work closely with the preventative maintenance and production leadership teams to ensure that breakdowns are responded to in an efficient and timely manner, all whilst ensuring the safety of those around them.
Ōu Pūkenga/About You
Previous experience in FMCG or transferrable production engineering environments would be an advantage, but the key is the ability to work as part of a team, to identify faults and use analytical and problem-solving skills to provide top level service to the processing plant. Working as a leader, all the while being entrenched as part of a maintenance team, candidates will have good interpersonal skills and an attitude for getting stuck in to get the job done as well as thinking outside of the box – we appreciate and encourage new ideas and thought processes about how we can collaborate across our site to ensure the get to the root cause of issues and fix it right – first time.
Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities:
· Trade Qualification and Full EWRB Practicing License
· Good knowledge of sound electrical principals, and repairs and maintenance procedures on a large industrial processing site
· Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner and communicate this with those around you.
· Be self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a tight knit team
· Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload in a challenging engineering environment and lead by example from the front.
