Kitchenhand / Cook - Telford Campus

The Telford campus of Southland Institute of Technology, a business division of Te Pūkenga situated 6 km south of Balclutha, has a vacancy for a Kitchen hand / Cook to complement the existing team in providing meals for students accommodated on location.

This position is 40 hours per week (with some weekend work expected) and reporting directly to the Kitchen Supervisor. Duties will include cleaning and sanitising food preparation, serving areas and equipment and some food and meal preparation.

We are looking for a person who is punctual, reliable, and able to communicate positively with staff and students. Preference will be given to applicants who hold either cookery or Food Safety qualification, but previous experience working in a catering operation would also be beneficial.
