Accommodation Manager

Fern & Thistle is a unique boutique accommodation property in South Otago, offering luxury Bed & Breakfast accommodation, private events, and a relaxed rural lifestyle. We are seeking an Accommodation Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the property and help create memorable experiences for our guests.

This role may suit an individual or couple looking for a lifestyle change and the opportunity to live and work in a beautiful setting.

About the Role

The Accommodation Manager will be responsible for ensuring guests receive exceptional service from booking through to departure while maintaining the high presentation standards The Fern & Thistle is known for.

Responsibilities may include:

• Guest check-ins and check-outs
• Responding to booking enquiries and managing reservations
• Preparing guest rooms and common areas
• Coordinating housekeeping activities
• Serving and preparing continental breakfasts
• Monitoring property presentation and maintenance requirements
• Managing guest communications and reviews
• Assisting with events and exclusive-use bookings
• Identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience
• Interviewing and hiring staff

About You

Hospitality, tourism, or hotel experience is desirable but not essential. We place greater value on attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for customer service.
