Transporter Truck Driver Wanted 

Class 5 Required | Heavy Machinery Experience Essential

Kelso Kontracting is looking for an experienced and reliable Transporter Truck Driver to join our team.

This role involves transporting a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to sites safely and efficiently throughout the regions.

About the Role

You will be responsible for: Loading and transporting heavy machinery including Forestry machinery Diggers Tractors Loaders Vehicles and other equipment Safely securing loads and complying with transport regulations Working alongside our contracting and civil teams Assisting with other work when transporter work is quieter

There is a strong involvement in loading and transporting large forestry machines, so previous experience around forestry equipment would be an advantage.

This role requires someone who is adaptable, practical, and willing to get involved where needed.

Our recent purchased Mercedes transporter truck is a significant investment and something we are extremely proud of. We are looking for someone who will treat the truck as if it were their own — taking pride in its presentation, upkeep, and safe operation. Respect for machinery and attention to detail is very important to us.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience operating and loading heavy machinery Experience driving transporter trucks Strong understanding of load security and safe transport practices Mechanically minded and confident around machinery Able to work independently and as part of a team Flexible attitude and willing to assist with other tasks when required

A current Class 5 license is essential

Knowledge and understanding of transport permits and over-dimension requirements would be highly beneficial.

Travel Requirements

Occasionally, you may be required to stay away overnight depending on job locations and workloads.
