The Company
Clutha Community Health Company Ltd is a not for profit registered charity trading as Clutha Health First (LLC). The company delivers hospital, community, outpatient and primary care clinical services to the residents of the Clutha District.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO the position involves both hands on and leadership input across finance, compliance, systems, contract management and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
Supported by an Accounts Administrator, Quality and Risk Management, Human Resources and IT the position involves, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and deliver fit for purpose, timely, monthly departmental and consolidated financial management reports to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Collaborate with operational managers on financial planning and KPI reporting
- Provide insightful narrative monthly reporting on financial outcomes past and future
- Liaise with the company’s external accountant in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports and the annual audit
- Prepare the fortnightly payroll for a 24|7 workforce
- Manage creditors & debtor processes, bank reconciliations, and tax requirements
- Prepare and deliver financial budgeting and modelling, cost analysis and business cases
- Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and efficient use of resources
- Standardise and improve financial processes, automation, and internal controls
Leadership & Business Partnership
- Lead a small finance team, promoting a collaborative and accountable culture
- Contribute to risk management, compliance, and strategic safeguarding
- Manage company contracts & reporting
- Participate in strategic planning, investment analysis, and commercial reviews
- Support health, safety and compliance initiatives as part of broader business culture
- Engage with the Board and Finance Risk and Audit Committee as required
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
- Drive and comply legislative and reporting requirements impact on the business.
- Develop and uphold financial SOPs, particularly in asset, inventory, and cash-flow management.
About You
We are looking for a results-driven and collaborative finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with commercial acumen and a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
Experience and Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or 7+ years’ experience in an accounting practice, or
- 5+ years in financial or business management
- Ideally, leadership, team development and property or HR experience
