Are you an experienced Accountant or Assistant Accountant looking to step up into a sole-charge role and operate as a true business partner of the business? Danone is on the lookout for a Production Accountant at our Balclutha plant and this could be the perfect opportunity for you – so read on!


As our Production Accountant, you will be the financial business partner to the Balclutha Leadership Team. It goes without saying that within this role you will enjoy unparalleled autonomy, ownership and exposure to senior management team, while relishing the opportunity to directly motivate our site performance from a financial viewpoint.

You will;

  • Partner with the Balclutha Leadership Team and support the delivery of factory performance
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of site performance results
  • Solely manage P&L forecasting, annual Site Budget and cost controlling activities
  • Drive accountability and cost consciousness mindset within the plant
  • Develop strong cross functional relationships with key stakeholders across the business to influence the decision-making process


You must have solid experience in Financial Accounting, a tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting and are at least CA/CPA partially qualified.

  • Strong understanding of accounting within a manufacturing environment
