Danone Nutrition Early Life Nutrition produces specialty foods for infants and young children, with a commitment to ethical business practice in the marketing of infant milk formulas in compliance with the aims of the World Health Organisation (WHO) code and local country legislation.  In Australia & New Zealand our brands include the Karicare and Aptamil ranges of infant formulas and supplementary foods for toddlers.

Located in the beautiful vista of Greenfield, just 20 minutes from Balclutha in the South Otago region, Danone's NZ spray drying plant employs state of art European technology to manufacture and package high quality nutritional powders. Our farm fresh quality NZ milk is collected, delivered and processed daily ensuring only the best for our consumers. Our operation prides itself on delivering the finest food and ingredients to help stand by our mums, dads and carers to nurture new lives.

The Role

The primary purpose of the Milk Liaison Officer position is to coordinate the management of milk supply to Danone Balclutha site from several farms, with the support of other internal functions. This position will help sustain relationships with the farms that supply the milk and manage any changes to that process. This person will ensure that key messages are delivered to stakeholders and supporting functions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure DANGO requirements and processes relating to milk collection are delivered and continuously improved (includes development).
  • Upload month end financial information as required.
  • Single Point of Contact for raw milk suppliers regarding Danone milk and on-farm quality requirements.
  • Build strong relationships on farm with managers, share-milkers and farm employees.
  • Develop quality systems through a structured program of improvement with suppliers to achieve Danone standards.
  • Ensure biosecurity of the milk through the respective parts of the Supply Chain to factory.
