We are looking for a Materials Planner to join our dedicated and driven Supply Chain team in this new role at our Balclutha Spray-Drying factory.

As Materials Planner you will play a key role in our team, increasing visibility of our raw materials and stock levels across the plant and supporting our short term scheduling.

You will:

  • Be our on-site raw materials expert!  You will build an in-depth understanding of our materials so you know how much we need, what the impact is of having too much or too little, and where and how they can be stored
  • Communicate effectively between functions and with suppliers to increase stock visibility and ensure any issues are proactively flagged
  • Bring your planning expertise to all projects in the business where you will be the functional lead
  • Develop strong cross functional relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Contribute to the wider Sourcing and Upstream Supply Chain team who are all driven to roll their sleeves up and support each other to deliver what's expected of them

You must have some exposure to Supply Chain or Planning either through your current role or university studies.  Exposure to SAP or other MRP systems is an advantage.

To be successful you will also:

  • Enjoy implementing structure and process within an ambiguous environment to create efficiencies
  • Have strong attention to detail and an analytical mind, supported by advanced excel skills
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders and build solid cross-functional relationships
  • Work well autonomously to meet deadlines and to overcome challenges
  • Have the flexibility and agility needed to succeed in a dynamic fast paced environment
