ABOUT THE JOB


In this operational role, you will be responsible for executing maintenance plan on a daily basis
at our Balclutha spray-drying plant. Supervising a team of 5, you will see yourself working across
the shop floor, proactively managing maintenance resources to drive the preventative
maintenance programme for the plant.


This is a permanent full-time position, working Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm. You will also have on-call
responsibility shared with the Maintenance Manager.


You will:

  • Manage preventative maintenance to ensure reliability for plant operations and
    availability of site assets
  • Supervise Maintenance Technicians and onsite Contractors, provide ongoing support to
    minimise unplanned downtime and implement continuous improvements
  • Support Reliability programme with key stakeholders to achieve continuous
    improvement, improve uptime and plant performance through Root Cause Analysis
  • Prepare reports, analyse data, and make recommendations for improving plant
    operations and solving maintenance-related problems

ABOUT YOU


To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:

  • Robust maintenance/trade experience with either electrical or mechanical background
  • Knowledge and exposure within the dairy industry (must-have)
  • Team leading experience – able to build trust and influence team members
  • Superb time management ability and communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a pressured environment, effectively managing resources and time
