Danone New Zealand is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our Balclutha production plant!


As our HR Manager, you will be part of our Balclutha Leadership Team, being the sole-charge HR person for the plant. You will manage responsibilities across the HR spectrum – the whole life cycle of our employees, from attraction and retention, ER and IR while they’re with us and championing their talent and learning journey within Danone. Being the strategic HR partner for a workforce of 120 people, you work closely with the senior leaders of the plant on all people related matters.

You will:

  • Drive the people culture and HR agenda with support from the Auckland HR team
  • Provide smart, reliable and accurate employee/industrial relations and best practice advice
  • Manage and deliver the Annual Salary Review (ASR) and Talent Review process
  • Partner with managers on employment relations and be the lead for Union matters onsite
  • Develop people management capabilities of Line Managers through ongoing coaching
  • Ensuring all learning and development activities are strategically linked to organisational needs and business planning processes


You must have an HR tertiary qualification and gained relevant experience in this field. You take great pride in your enthusiasm, emotional agility and ability to engage people in our cultural transformation journey.   • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • An innate drive for results and unwavering interest in HR and talent development
  • Experience in a manufacturing / FMCG environment would be beneficial but not necessary
