Dental Assistant

The role

You'll play a vital part in assisting the dentists and working alongside our team members at our busy and growing dental clinic. You'll manage a variety of tasks, from making appointments to preparing clinic rooms and assisting the dentists chairside.

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic person to work on a part time basis initially (1 day), as well as covering staff’s leave, with the potential for increased days in future, as the clinic grows in its roles and services to the community. 

Work hours: 8 hours/week; every Thursday, 8.00am-5.00pm

To be successful in this position, you will be:

• a team player with strong people skills and able to work under fluctuating levels of pressure;
• a confident communicator and fluent in written and spoken English;
• trustworthy, and able to build strong relationships with our customers;
• willing to learn, listen, and reflect on feedback;
• punctual and reliable work attendance;
• a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.

Full training will be provided. No prior experience required. Successful applicant must submit to a full NZ Police Vetting Check under the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014.
