We are looking for an experienced Assistant Production Manager for our state of the art fabrication facility in Milton. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent communication skills and previous experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Attributes

Being an integral member of our Steel Production team, will see you working alongside the Production Manager assisting with maintaining project programs and delivery commitments. Your effective coordination abilities will ensure production is operating within optimum requirements.

Additionally, we will be looking for someone with:

• Planning experience, ideally in a fabrication business, however other manufacturing planning experience will also be considered
• Capability to manage small works projects
• The ability to support the implementation of Continuous improvement initiatives
• Computer literacy, proficient in Excel and MS Word
• An ability to read and interpret drawings
• Excellent communication skills
• An aptitude for numbers
• Ability to problem solve and negotiate positive outcomes
• Proven leadership capabilities, able to lead and motivate the team
• Strong attention to detail quality and accuracy
