Tides Getting Here Clutha Attractions
Tuesday November 13, 2018

More than 100 people gathered at the Rosebank Lodge to highlight the achievements of 17 people who have excelled in their workplace.

A total of 12 different industries were represented with everything from healthcare, to dairy to trades, construction and accountancy.

We are friendly bunch here in Clutha who give our people a well deserved pat on the back and round of applause (oh and a certificate) for their hard graft, desire and dedication to learn new skills.

The companies also deserve a big thank you for supporting their staff and helping them wherever and whenever possible.

The Mayor in full regalia was joined by former TV star and all round character Ruth Ratcliffe (Clutha Youth Manager) to add a bit of razzmatazz to the evening where both the tipple and tucker flowed freely.

All in all it really is a wonderful reflection of Clutha at its best! Real People, Real Companies, Real Success!

If you are training to get a new qualification then come join us next November. Also businesses who are rightly proud of your employees efforts go on become part of something special.

Other Business News:

It's been a busy time for businesses with not only the annual Training and Development Awards.

We've also had the Career Pathways Expo at the Cross Recreation Centre this November.

30 different companies representing various industries all got together under one roof to give locals the chance to meet face to face with some of our biggest and best employers.

There was a CV clinic as well to help jobseekers make sure they are doing the right thing.

The companies involved said it was great to chat with everyone from school leavers looking to find their future, to people considering a career change. It was also nice way of catching up with other businesses.

Like much of what Clutha Development do, it is all about connecting the district.
